MV MSC Sao Paulo had an oil spill incident during the cargo operation at the port stay of YICT (Yantian International Container Terminal) on 27th Feb. 2018.  As the sub-contractor of YICT for oil spill response, our clean up team was the first one to act the oil spill response emergency on site when we received the alarm call from YICT. We assigned 4 oil spill response barges, 3 experts and 11 technical workers of oil spill response deployed the sorbent boom, sorbent to stop the oil spread, which contributes to the golden time for the cleaning up later on minimizing the pollution and impact.
