In November, 2012, the emergency antifouling department in Shenzhen gave training to the front-line staff such as the crews. The training was aim to strengthen the ability of response to oil spill accident and to reinforce the hard and soft power of the company. Since the crews usually tend to pay attention to the operation but not to the theory, the antifouling department provided each crew with a comprehensive teaching material as well as a quiz and after several courses the crews’ knowledge could be strengthened. According to the analysis of the quiz results, the crews’ theoretical knowledge was much improved. The feedback from the crews showed that the 2 weeks’ training also aroused the initiative of the crews. The crews all expressed their support to the measure of the company and they hoped to obtain more chances of training.
